One could argue that can be  logically organized into columns and rows.  Tabular layout can be very  efficient, if done without horrendous nesting, not usually the concern you have.  Bringing it back to start a lot of flexibility in what elements they may  contain.  Try it and show us a forum or discussion board that doesn"t use  > tables?
